KONFRONTASI - One person has been injured and detained in a major Belgian police operation in northern Brussels, in connection with search operations for the suspect of recent terrorist attacks in the Belgian capital, an official says.
Bernard Clerfayt, the local mayor of Schaerbeek Borough, on Friday was quoted by public broadcaster RTBF as saying that the person was linked to bomb attacks in the capital and to a foiled plot this week near Paris, France.
Three blasts were heard during the operation. Clerfayt said the blasts were controlled explosions.
